The HSA sponsors a wide array of events and fundraisers throughout the school year!

 
Art Goes to School
This parent-led program brings works of art into the school through art games and other activities.
Apple Crunch Day
Parent volunteers distribute locally-grown apples to encourage healthy snacking.
Back to School Open House
Bingo Night
An all school bingo night give families a chance to meet and participate in some good fun.
Book Fairs
At the Scholastic Book Fair, a large selection of books and non-book items is available for purchase. Books can be purchased during and after school hours. The Recycled Book Fair features lightly used children's books, games and puzzles donated by the school community.
Cultural Enrichment assemblies
Fourth Grade Graduation Activities (class trip, yearbook, dance party)
First Day of School Celebration
June Jam
Families celebrate the end of the school year by enjoying music, activities and food with the BHES community. 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
A day-long event at Lower Merion High School. Activities include a food collection, coat drive, craft project, bake sale and card-making to benefit various groups.
Morning with Famous African Americans
Movie Nights
A popular family-friendly movie is shown for a suggested donation. Refreshments available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the fourth grade class.
Narberth Community Food Bank Thanksgiving Drive
Suggested donations of food and necessities for the Narberth Community Food Bank are organized by grade.
Potluck Dinner
An all school potluck in the fall give families a chance to meet other families. A community potluck dinner in the spring celebrates the rich diversity of the BHES community through distinctive family food traditions.
Popcicles on the Playground 
Opportunity for new families to meet each other and have their first introduction to the school.
Reading Olympics
Students read throughout the semester, then compete by displaying their knowledge of what they've read.
School Directory
The HSA publishes its own directory in order to facilitate communication among families and to provide weekly bulletins and homeroom contacts. The directory is circulated throughout the school.
Staff Appreciation Breakfast/Luncheon/Gifts
The HSA hosts these events to show staff how much their hard work and commitment is appreciated. Donations of prepared food, money, or time are welcome. 
Talent Show and Silent Auction

Water Ice Social
Families enjoy free water ice at the school while the kids play on the playground.
